This months theme is FALL FUN! Draw and/or write about your Spacecat doing fall activities! This prompt is more vague, so feel free to get creative!

CBC RULE UPDATE:

This is just to clarify the CBC rules since we've seen some confusion about them!

1. We dont have a rule against characters that are murderers/abusive characters being made into spacecats, so long as the abuse/murder isnt glorified - the only issue comes down to pedophiles and rapists.
2. Along with that, we don't have a series blacklist, however your design may be rejected if the series they're from is something morally reprehensible and/or has glaring issues with racism/homophobia/etc. 
3. Characters cannot be a direct copy of their source material -  this isnt usually an issue when it comes to human -> spacecat designs, but when it comes to characters that were already animals, you will need to make sure they have distinct traits/markings. This also goes for canon species (EX: pokemon, digimon, duel monsters) from now on as well to avoid having multiple designs that look incredibly similar.
4. The rule also applies to companion growth, however canon species (ex: pokemon, digimon, duel monsters) can be 1:1.
5. You MUST tell us who your CBC is based off somewhere in your approval message; full character name and series. If this is repeatedly ignored and we find out, you will get a strike and potentially a ban from the species.

Breedings update:

With the rise of interest in breeding slots we've decided to implement a few things!

1. We'll be splitting the breeding batches into 2 seperate sales, 2 fcfs slots, and 4-5 (depending on the month) raffle to pay slots.
2. Ontop of that we'll be opening guest artists slots just for breeding batches, this will be a seperate form for the regular guest artist application! fill that out here: https://forms.gle/MR2oWFSgjTKpVqR4A
3. There will now be a 1 month cooldown before you can claim another breeding slot! meaning if you claim a slot in one breeding month you cant claim one in the breeding month directly after it!

Halloween Event:

Participating in this event will allow you to earn special currency that you’ll be able to use to purchase items from the event shop that’ll open on November 1st!

Changes to art redemption and daily rewards:

Starting this month, we’re adjusting how we handle both daily rewards and art redemption.

Daily Rewards: From now on this will be handed via an advent calendar instead of a prompt, to reach the daily rewards advent calendar you’ll have to click it via the quick links section of the navbar. You’ll be given the daily box item which you can then open in your inventory to receive your reward.

Art Redemption: You will no longer need to submit your art to a prompt, just the galleries. We’ve implemented the forum into the gallery submission itself. You should be able to use the checkboxes to select what size/finish/etc your piece is!

OCTOBER MONTHLY MADNESS:

This month’s theme is PUMPKIN CARVING! Draw and/or write about your Spacecat carving a pumpkin!

The October monthly madness will last till October 31st!

REMINDERS:

• Shooting star tails must look like a star - this could be a traditional 5 point star or anything that we can obviously recognize as a star. Aside from that, the rest of the tail must resemble a wispy, comet, loose, or swirling tail. Shooting star tails do not combine with any other types. (With the exception of split tails, which is a modifier rather than a tail type itself)
• Please make sure to list your CBCs original source in the comments section of your MYO submission!
• Make sure to mark your art redemption submission as “gift” (and mark how many characters are gifts) to get the gift bonus! We’ve noticed a lot of people have been missing this. Any submission that features characters you do not own counts as a gift for art redemption, even if it was a part of a trade.
• Don't publicly submit an unapproved Spacecat to Toyhou.se or pay or trade for art of them until approved - as a reminder, this is listed in the rules channel in-server. It’s fine to submit them on authorized only/other private settings, not not publically! If we find you repeatedly break this rule, we will give you a warning and potentially suspend/ban you from the species if it keeps up!

Hello, and Happy Halloween! It's time for our yearly Halloween event.
This year we’ll have another haunted house run, along with an art prompt and a small scavenger hunt!

You’ll be able to comment on the haunted house once per day to “run” through it to collect candy (an event currency), a design, essences, or myth items! Each day will have a new on-site page with a link to said page placed in the announcements channel in-server with the @minor announcements ping! Our mods will be giving out rewards as soon as possible, but please keep in mind we are all a bit busy, so there may be a little bit of a wait - however, we’ll try our best to keep everything up to date! All prizes will be given out by the end of the event despite any delay.

There will be 6 candy pails hidden around the site that everyone can claim, along with a few designs and supernovas that will be FCFS! The designs along with the supernovas will be hidden throughout the masterlist, while candy pails will be in easier to find locations! You can give each other hints for where they may be, but directly telling each other isn't allowed - the same goes for designs/supernovas! You may only claim one of the scavenger hunt designs/supernovas. There will be a message in the discord server that's updated as the designs are found.

The art prompt is as follows:
Draw a Spacecat (one you own or one owned by other people with permission!) dressing up for halloween! This could be a simple white sheet ghost costume, or an elaborate cosplay of their favorite characters! CBCs dressed up as the character they’re based on do not count for this. This prompt can also be done multiple times!

The rules for the art prompt are as follows:

• Your illustration must be (at the least) a Fullbody! There is no background required for this prompt.
• Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!
• Your illustration MUST be submitted to the event gallery! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

This event will run from October 23rd to the 31st! After the event ends/we finish handing out the prizes from the haunted house run, an event shop will open and there will be another newsletter detailing it!

Unstable stars:

Along with the above we’re releasing a new type of myo slot for this event! Unstable stars are randomized myo slots, you are given a few set traits to work with and you have to design your spacecat based on them! These will be given out alongside candy and a few other items in the haunted house.

Halloween SHOP:

The Halloween shop is now open from Nov. 1st to the 7th! You can spend any candy you earned from this event there - any leftover candy you have by the end of the event will be converted to cloud coins!

What is the Starlit Pool?
The Starlit Pool is a redesigning system where you can commission our mod team to redesign your Spacecat with different levels of change! This was a thing prior to the ownership change, however it had been closed for a while as we had wanted to make some changes. Some of our mods havent finished their pricing/example images yet, but those who have have been added to the pages!

For the month of February we'll be introducing this limited item, the star cluster! This is a special version of a love star that allows you to make a kitten with up to 4 parents! This item will be limited per person, you'll be able to claim 2 for 1000 cloud coins each and you can claim an extra 2 with $10 via the cash shop if you would like! These items will only be available this February, however they may return next year depending on how well received they are!

LOVE STAR BUNDLE:

On top of the above we're also selling lovestar bundles this month! For $12 or 1200 CC you can purchase a bundle of 2 love stars + a fortune essence ! These are limited to one per person for the cloud coin sales, however theres no limit for usd bundles.

Not much to say about this one, however for month of april we've put together a silly theme for the site, its currently set as the default! As always please make sure to contact us if you that anything is unreadable, we may have missed something!

The easter event will be hosted 4/21 and last till 4/23. We will be having an egg hunt, every day there will be a few unique design eggs to be found, along with a supernova or two that will be fcfs. Alongside those there will be a few item/cloudcoin eggs that will be claimable for everyone.

• The site default theme has been reverted !

Merging with Sodaplanet:

As some of you may already know, Digimon has been gifted Sodacats/Longyu by C-Side, and as of today the species will be merging together! Spacecats, Sodacats, and Longyu will all be a part of the same universe, and we plan to have some lore revolving around how the three species are related, along with eventually adding some actual ARPG elements to the site soon.

While a big change, we hope you guys end up enjoying it. An announcement has been made in the Sodaplanet Discord server on how to get your inventories onto your on-site accounts - please read it over for more information!

Changes to Sodaplanet:

• Longyus have been renamed Guppymanders, since there is already a real animal called Longyus - we’ve decided it's best the name is changed!
• Some traits have been shifted around, removed, or added!
  • Normal Eyes has been split into two separate traits, Standard Iris and Dark Pupils
  • Overgrown Fangs has been renamed Saber Teeth
  • Glowing has been renamed Bioluminescence
  • Rings have been split into two separate traits, Rings and Halo
  • Point Ears have been renamed Standard Ears
  • Tuft Ears have been changed to a modifier trait (as in they are now not an ear type of their own, they need to be stacked on top of another ear trait) and renamed Fur Ear Tufts
  • Long Ears have been renamed Long Standing Ears
  • Colored Sclera has been split into two traits, (Rare) Dark Sclera and (Uncommon) Colored Sclera
  • Colored Pupil has been added as an uncommon trait
  • Extra limbs has been split into two traits, (Rare) Extra Limbs (Less than 4) and (Mythical) Extra Limbs (More than 4)
  • Stitches have been detraited
  • Heterochromia has been detraited
  • Decorations have been detraited (Although your sodacat still requires one, there are just no rarity tiers anymore.)
  • Smooth/Layered Soda has been removed as a trait
  • Standard Bubbles has been added as a trait
  • Sodacats now require bubbles throughout their soda
  • Shaped Eyeball has been detraited, as a team we feel this is more a stylistic choice than anything.
  • Stream Tail has been renamed to Cat Tail, as we noticed most end up just looking like regular cat tails.
  • Fountain Hair (hair made of soda that is unstyled or flowy, akin to the Spacecat wispy/loose hair traits) has been added as a common trait
  • Fur Hair and No Hair have been added as a trait
  • Shaped Hair (Hair made of soda that is styled) has been added as an uncommon trait
  • Bubble Tail has been renamed Bobbed Tail
  • Flop Ears has been renamed Long Floppy Ears
  • Fins have been renamed Aquatic parts. This is now a common trait on Guppymanders (for any aquatic traits outside of the gils, whiskers, and fins that the species requires) and an uncommon trait on Sodacats.
  • Antenna has been renamed Insect Parts and can now be any insect features.
  • Transformation has been renamed Shapeshifting
  • Multiple forms has been renamed Multi-form
  • Companion Growth has been renamed Companions, and bumped down to rare instead of mythical
  • Hooves have been renamed Paw Mutations and can now be any unusual paw shape.
  • Long/Short fish tail has been merged into one single Fish Tail trait
  • Rarity colors have changed
• Event traits have been merged into other existing traits, or simply detraited.
• Pearlcoins have been converted to Cloudcoins at a rate of 1PC:10CC
• Butterfly Pea Syrup has been renamed Rainbow Sweetener
• Straw has been renamed Silly Straw
• Sparkling Soda has been renamed Refreshing Tonic
• Blueberry, Strawberry, and Golden Sugar have been added as items, these items will add an uncommon, rare, or mythical trait to a pre-made Sodacat or Guppymander. Syrups can now only be used on MYOs.

SODAPLANET MERGE EVENT (NEW HORIZIONS):

This will be our first lore drop event - you can view it here! Make sure to check your settings and adjust your text speed as needed as well!
This event is a short visual novel styled event, and at the end of it you can claim 1 Small Star, 1 Basic Soda, and 1 Bronze Egg for free, along with the New Horizons patch! Instructions on how to do so will be at the end of the event page! The MYO prizes will be claimable until July 14th - you have one month to read through the event and claim your rewards! Afterwards the MYOs will be removed from the event, and the visual novel section will be archived! The New Horizons award will stay claimable, however.

If we find out you have made an additional account to claim more rewards from this event, you will be banned.

NEW HORIZONS ART PROMPT:

Draw your Spacecats and Sodacats/Guppymanders interacting - this can be either your characters or a friends’. Drawing the NPCs works as well!

CHANGES TO ART REDEMPTION:

Instead of adding a critera per character, we have added a number input box allowing you to add how many characters fit the critera filled out!

EX: You drew a simple scene with 3 characters, 2 of the 3 are fullbodies and 1 is a bust. You'd fill out a total of 3 criteras, 1 for the background, 1 for the two fullbodies, and 1 for the bust!

All SpaceStation species are able to be bred, however crossbreeding the species is not allowed at this time! So your breeding pair would have to be the same species, at least for this batch!

August Monthly Madness:

Art Redemption Reminders:

• Gift Art and Staff Art bonuses are not stackable!
  • Staff Art only refers to cats on the Staff and NPC page viewable here !
• Art trades can be listed as gift art!
• The only types of art that cannot be redeemed for cloud coins are:
  • Any art that was commissioned (for IRL currency, any sort of in-game currency, or cloud coins)
  • The initial image of your MYO that was submitted to the site.
  • Base fills and YCHs

Trait Changes:

• Bubbles/Foam at the tip of the tail are now required for sodacats! (You can view Fizz’s tail tip as an example of what we mean! )
  • We will go back and adjust already approved cats to have an illegal trait (You are not required to redesign your character no worries! You may continue to use them as is, however if you ever choose to redesign them you will be required to fix any illegal traits!)
• Big cats and wild cats may now have any features that appear on the irl animal added for free to your MYOs. (So for example you may give a lion based big cat the mane trait for free, or a tiger based spacecat rounded ears without the need of an item, caracals may be given long standing ears, ect.)
  • The only exception to this is shaped tail, which still requires a rare trait addon!

From October 17th till November 1st we will be hosting a Halloween event! There will be a short dialogue event, design raffles, an art prompt, and more! We will be posting another newsletter on October 16th that includes all the event details!

After this month we will no longer be giving out birthday boxes to users if they do not recieve one.

To celebrate Halloween we have a short dialogue event! Please read it to get the necessary items to participate in our Event!

This will work somewhat like last year’s event, with a few key differences. Everyday at site reset you will be able to knock 3 times at one of the doors listed on the activities page. This will start today, as the first time you do an activity you will be limited to 1 time a day. These doors will be available until November 1st.

• Your illustration must be (at the least) a Fullbody! There is no background required for this prompt.
• Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!
• You can draw your character cosplaying for this prompt! However if your character is already a cbc you cannot draw them cosplaying as their source. An in-canon costume is fine, but it cannot just be cosplaying the base character.
• Your illustration MUST be submitted to the Event Gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

Trait Reminders:

Rule Update/Reminder:

From now on you may not use typing quirks in any “official“ channels in the discord server or in the comments section of design/redesign approvals. This also goes for prompt submissions. 

This is for accessibility reasons, please keep in mind that typing quirks cause issues with screen readers.

Bashing other Closed Species is not allowed in the discord server or on the site, ESPECIALLY Space Station ones. We know that people can have favorites, and that's fine, but saying that you do not care about a particular species or complaining about getting items for a species is unacceptable. If you do not want an item that you have received from this event, simply make a post in the appropriate channel or donate it. Any further discussion of this type will warrant a warning.

All art submitted, regardless of how much of the character is drawn, must be colored and cleanly lined. Fullbodies don't need to be shaded, but headshots must be.

Holiday Item Advent:

Later on this month we’ll be hosting an item advent calendar!
From December 26th through the 31st there will be an item claimable every day! You will be able to view this calendar via the navigation bar or sidebar underneath 'quick links' starting on December 26th!

Character Warnings:

You may now add content warnings to your characters! This will add a popup to the character, along with censoring their icon. You may turn this off in your user settings.

User Shops:

You may now set up your own shop on site! Here you can sell your items to other users!

You may decorate your shop as you please, however your shopfront must be SFW and not contain any gore or other inappropriate imagery. Swearing is alright, however slurs or any offensive language is not.

Keep in mind making your shop name too long may result in users being unable to purchase items from your shop, please try to keep shop names 32 characters or under!

World Information:

This section is still a big WIP, however you can view some information about the world Space Station species are from here! Make sure to check out the sidebar links as well, as some will include more information! These will be slowly added and updated as time goes on.

December Monthly Madness:

This month’s theme is Snowed In! Draw and/or write about your Spacestation character experiencing heavy snowfall!
The December monthly madness will last till December 31st!

Misc:

• We have created a page for all the advent designs to be viewed! Designs will be added to it as they’re revealed. You can view the page here!
• You must now list what has changed in the comments section when redesigning characters! If you don’t we’ll cancel the submission.
• Character pronouns have been added! These will be viewable on your character's profile page! If we find you putting anything aside from pronouns in this box you will be given a warning or banned, depending on what is put there.
• Character names are now limited to 32 characters, the abundance of incredibly long joke names has been difficult to moderate for a while now (along with causing issues for those on mobile and those with screen readers), and after discussion we have decided to place this limit. Trying to make a character’s name longer than 32 characters long will cause an error to pop up.

Over the Clouds Event:

This is a multi-part lore based event! The first part will start today (12/1), the second will start on 12/12, third on 12/23, 4th on 12/30, and epilogue on 1/7 ! Each part will include a couple of art prompts, new crafting recipes, raffles, encounters, foraging, and a dialogue event! Please read on to learn more :]

Story art prompts may only be completed once, and must be completed by the character's owner. NPCs cannot be used for this event, however we will have a FTO shop set up to allow users without any characters to participate.

Event prompts may be completed multiple times, and may be done by other members for you (but they must include your characters in them if done by other members).

Story prompts must be completed in order. Any previous ones must be completed before moving on to the next one.

Status effects have been added to the site, characters can roll status effects from prompts. If a character has a mild status effect, they have a slight chance to bring back nothing from whatever prompt you submit to, if they have a severe status effect they have a larger chance to bring back nothing! Make sure to heal your characters before doing more prompts for the event! This does not apply to Monthly Madness, art redemption or the story prompts.

Food and Tools can be crafted during the event, along with a few turn in items for extra rewards. We have also added healing items! Tools will be more clear during the 2nd part of the event

Food gives users more energy to use during encounters and healing items heal status effects.

We originally thought this went without saying, but we have to make this clear upfront now - we do not tolerate any sort of cheating in these events. This includes multi-accounting and getting friends to join for the sole purpose of giving you all of their items. If we catch you (which, trust me, we will), then we will be banning you from participating in events for an entire year, and any items accumulated from the event will be removed from your account without refund.

Dialogue Event:

As stated above, this event will be in multiple parts! The first dialogue event can be seen here, and each part will have a new newspost, including links and new info!

The dialogue event was written by GalacticRing!

Foraging:

Similar to October’s event, we will have foraging for this event! Currently, there is only one location to forage at, but with each part, you will unlock a new place to forage at!

Foraging may drop:

• Crafting Materials
• Cloud Coins
• Raffle tickets for premade designs

Crafting:

Like before, foraging will drop crafting materials!

Most of these recipes are focused on food, which gives you more energy for something very specific…

Exploring (Encounters):

With each part of this event, more exploration areas will be unlocked! You will have a single location you can explore at first, with the next being unlocked at the next part!

With exploring, you will have a variety of encounters from the perspective of the NPCs during the lore event, with the chance to gain items!

Art Prompts:

We will have two art prompts with each part of the event, able to be completed at any time until the event ends, but the story prompts MUST be completed in order! Non-story event prompts rewards will be rolled on characters, so any rewards will go to them instead of your inventory! From there you can transfer the items out of your character's inventory into yours.

For your character to get rewards you must select them as the "focus character"! You can also only submit prompts that include your own characters. If you were to do an event prompt that includes two of your own characters, and one of another member's for example, you'd be able to submit the prompt for your two characters, and the other member would need to submit to it with their character as well.

Story Prompt:

Show your Space Station character doing what they would do in the scenario presented in the first part of the dialogue event!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a shaded fullbody with a simple scene background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 750 words!
• This prompt MUST be completed by the character owner
• This prompt can only be completed once!
• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

Character/User Levels:

We now have character and user levels! While these are only cosmetic at the moment and have no effect on doing things on site at the moment, they do give you rewards for leveling up!

Most of these are not yet functional! At the moment, the only things that have use are pets and stats.

Pets can be gained from encounters, each pet has a “drop” that gives you an item every set interval! You can view your pets here or via the "Home" dropdown on the navbar.

Character stats are just that! While at the moment they don’t affect anything, they will in the future! You can up a character's stats by leveling them up.

You can view all this on a character's profile!

New Species:

Introducing: Cirrocanius!

These borzoi-esc canines are usually the size of wolves, and they historically have lived in the clouds! Therefore, they are adapted to flying!

Similar to SpaceCats, Cirrocanius use Essences and Vouchers for their MYO add-ons! However, they have their own MYO slots!

We would also like to announce that all remaining advent designs will be of the new species!! We are excited to share this species with you, and we hope that you enjoy them as much as we do!

Poly Breeding Batches + Valentines Event:

Next month we will be having Poly Breedings again! Star clusters will be returning as well, along with equivalents for the other 3 species!

We will also be hosting a Valentines Event next month, more news about this will be detailed in next month’s newsletter!

 Breeding Updates:

Breeding prices have increased from $10 to $15, this is just so it's more fair on our artists. Mixed species breedings will also be accepted for mod breedings only. In the future this may come to self breeds as well. 

Fetch Quests:

We have added Fetch Quests to the site!! Every day, a new item will be generated for you to give to the page for a CloudCoin reward! You may submit an item to this multiple times a day, with a one hour cooldown. 

This category is set to only generate redesign items, since we know those don’t get used as much and people have gotten plenty from these past events!

January Monthly Madness:

This month’s theme is Dreams! Draw and/or write about your spacestation character either dreaming or doing something they dream of doing! 

The January monthly madness will last till January 31st!

Misc:

• Reminder that all Cirrocanius need cloud shapes on the tip of their tails! Along with that their snouts must be long/borzoi like!
• You must list what is changed when submitting a redesign! We will send it back otherwise.
• Long fur hair now covers hair that is tied up/spiked upwards.
• Long Horns [GUP] is now a modifier trait, you need a horn shape train ontop of it.
• Starting next month Sodacats will be getting the long fur hair trait as well.
• Strawberry sugar/syrup has been renamed Grape sugar/syrup.
• We’ve decided to change the Breed Specific Body on Cirrocanius to be a rare trait instead of uncommon.
• Missing head/face has been added to Cirrocanius, along with Insect parts. We meant to add these at launch but forgot!
• The CBC masterlist has been released publically and can be viewed here. 
  • This is because recently we’ve gotten a few people accidently making CBCs look too similar to another member’s. This is just so you can easily find other CBCs of the same character and make sure yours is different enough!
• User borders have been added! These are just little borders that go around your icon :] Right now theres 4 default ones, based off each of the species. More will be added occassionally.
• The rest of the discord emojis are being added to site! We are currently hunting for the files for some of them, but we should hopefully have those added later today or tomorrow!

We want to remind everyone that multi-accounting, even in the case of having a friend sign up just to give you free stuff, is absolutely, positively, not allowed. Gifting occasionally is fine, but if the purpose of making the account is to send someone free stuff, then it falls under our multi-accounting rules.

Therefore, since we have still seen this happening, we wanted to make an update to the rules. Previously, a case of multi-accounting would lead to an event ban, a strike, and revoking of all items related to the event from the inventory of the perpetrator, as well as the banning of any extra accounts.

From now on, moving forward, any and all multi-accounting will result in a full one-year ban from the species entirely.

We did not want to take this step, but we feel as though this is the only way to combat an issue that we've had throughout the past two events. Do note that if you multi-account, we WILL find out, and there WILL be consequences.

Rule Updates:

• • You must now link the parents of your self breeds in the comments section of the submission, just listing the masterlist number will not work and your submission will be sent back if you do not do so. 
  • Cirros must have the long, sloped muzzle unless you have the breed specific body trait. However the design must overall look like the breed you’re saying it is. We will not allow the trait to only be used for the muzzle of the stated breed, you must incorporate the breeds anatomy as well (for example, a german shepard must have a sloped back, a corgi must have short legs, just generally it needs to look like the dog breed you assign them.)
  • You may now only void characters if you have permission from the original designer.

Reminders:

• • Give our staff team at least 48 hours to answer any questions you have. If we put a discussing emoji on your question/design check/etc. do not try to guess why we’ve done so. It clogs the chat and makes it much harder for us to answer other questions in the chats.

• Long Fur Hair [SDC] has been added as a trait for Sodacats! From now on, Fur Hair [SDC] is for hair that ends above the chin, and Long Fur Hair [SDC} is for anything longer. We are still going through cats on the masterlist to update their traits accordingly, so hold tight!

This is a single-part lore event! We wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day this year with a special event! This will be similar to Over the Clouds, but not nearly to the same scale!

This event starts today, 2/7, and ends in two weeks (+ one day), on 2/22.

This event has a few different parts to it, and this newsletter goes over it.

An Important Reminder:

We do not tolerate any form of cheating in our events. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Multiaccounting, including getting friends to sign up just to send you items
• Exploits that are discovered that are not promptly reported, and are instead used to get a large quantity of items
  • You are also disallowed from telling other people about exploits that you find, other than staff when you report it
  • If you find an exploit by mistake, you will not be punished so long as you let us know immediately
• Hacking the website, or other people's accounts

If you cheat in these ways, then we will find out. We do not tolerate it whatsoever, as it gives users an advantage over others. This includes getting a mass amounts of MYOs to use to make characters, as well as trading illegitimate items for art and characters.

If we catch you cheating, then you will be given a full-site ban, the length of which varying depending on the severity of the offense.

We did not want to take this step, but the amount of this we had in the last event made it so we had to go through with this.

Dialogue Event:

The dialogue event can be read here, and it has branching paths! You can go through it multiple times to get all three different stories!

The dialogue event was written by GalacticRing!

Foraging:

There are two locations to forage during this event!

Foraging may drop:

• Crafting Materials
• Cooking Items
• Misc Items
• Currency

Crafting:

Like before, foraging will drop crafting materials!

Crafting works the same as previous events. You will need to read the dialogue event to unlock the recipes.

Exploring (Encounters):

Like last time, encounters are making a return! You have two locations to choose from, with unique encounters in each area!

With exploring, you will have a variety of encounters from the perspective of the NPCs during the lore event, with the chance to gain items!

Status Effects:

Through prompts, your characters can gain a status effect! This is the Love Sick status effect, with the severe version being Heartbroken!

In this event, Broken Bones and Wound also makes a comeback and has a chance to appear from prompts!

We have also updated Lucky: it only is in effect for a total of 3 prompts before it goes away!

Art Prompts:

We will have two art prompts with each part of the event, able to be completed at any time until the event ends, but the story prompts MUST be completed in order! Non-story event prompts rewards will be rolled on characters, so any rewards will go to them instead of your inventory! From there you can transfer the items out of your character's inventory into yours.

For your character to get rewards you must select them as the "focus character"! You can also only submit prompts that include your own characters. If you were to do an event prompt that includes two of your own characters, and one of another member's for example, you'd be able to submit the prompt for your two characters, and the other member would need to submit to it with their character as well.

Story Prompt 1:

Depict your spacestation character visiting a location that’s important to them.

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a shaded fullbody with a simple scene background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 500 words!
• This prompt MUST be completed by the character owner, unless you do not own a SpaceStation character! In that case, you are permitted to use an NPC!

• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. • There is a clarification on the CBC Turn-In prompt: This is not for new characters. This is for characters who were already on the masterlist prior to when we kept track of CBCs. Please disclose your CBCs in your comments of your MYOs!
• We have added a new daily! This is called The Wheel! Spin it once a day for 250 Cloudcoins for the chance for a reward!
• A permanent foraging location has been added called The Arcade! It costs 250 Cloudcoins to enter, and can be done unlimited times a day!
• The name of the Dragon/Bird Feet [CRC] trait has been changed to Talons [CRC]!
• Metallic Parts [GUP] has been added as a trait for Guppymanders!
• No Tail [GUP] has been added as a trait for Guppymanders!
• The Valentine's theme has been set as the default on site!
• Poly breeding items are back in stock! We now have one item for every species!

In addition to the usual design Gacha we have, we also have decided to have a Randomized MYO Gacha for Cloud Coins! The entry fee will be 1500 CC and will come with a color palette that must be followed for the design!

Easter Event:

Easter is in March this year, however our Easter event will be hosted in April this time around! There will be an event-specific newsletter posted closer to time.

After a long discussion with staff we have ultimately decided that the shapeshifting trait needs adjustments. From this day forward, the trait will be renamed Hamster and characters may only shapeshift into hamsters. Any characters with the former shapeshifting trait that does not have a hamster form will be marked as illegal. Thank you! 

As compensation we have decided to hide a “Hamster Pass” on a character with the hamster trait (Any character with the hamster trait. This includes characters with an illegal hamster trait). You may use this “Hamster Pass” to add the Mythical Hamster trait to your character! Do not tell others where this is hidden, thank you!

EASTER EVENT:

Our easter event will be hosted on the 5th, and run until the 7th! More about this will be posted in it’s own separate newsletter on the 4th :]

RULE UPDATES:

After another long discussion with staff we have ultimately decided to undo the changes to the shape shifting trait. Hamsters are too difficult for us to work with, we hope you will forgive us. This will not happen again. 

Hamster passes will not be removed from the site until all of them have been used up. These still will only be able to make your character shapeshift into a hamster, and the shapeshift form will not be able to change from a hamster. You can still claim your hamster pass until 23:59:59 site time.

April Monthly Madness:

This month’s theme is Storms! Draw and/or write about your spacestation character experiencing stormy weather! 

The April monthly madness will last till April 30th! 

We will still accept Hamster related Monthly madness submissions until 4/7, you may submit to both the Hamster and Storms theme for this month.

• You can now search for CBCs on site, the spreadsheet has started to become unmanageable for us and we figured it’d be easier to just allow both staff and users to search for them on the actual site itself.

• Characters may now have multiple subtypes, so it's now possible to have a sodacat that's both a wild cat and big cat for example (either because its a hybrid, or because of multiform)
• redcrowz is now a full moderator!
• We have promoted yugioh and Lobcorp to a new position of Senior Moderators. This role is functionally identical to Moderators for most purposes, but minor changes on the staff side mean you should see MYOs and redesigns be approved faster.
• We have noticed several users posting looking for ads for staff customs in the Discord server. We would like to remind you that we have a page set up on site containing all relevant information about each staff member's customs, which is kept up to date. We would prefer it if you refer to that and contact the artist you are interested in getting a custom from directly, rather than advertising in the Discord server for it. Thank you!
• Past event cooking/crafting/food items are currently in the process of being removed from the site. 

From now on, we’d like to stray away from IRL religious holidays. We will still host events somewhat around these holidays however we will be avoiding directly referencing them. 

Anyways, onto the Spring Hunt event details!

Starting Tomorrow at 15:00:00 site time, we will be hosting a scavenger hunt. This will last from tomorrow (4/5) till 4/9 23:59:59 site time.

From 4/5 until 4/8 each day will have a total of 8 items to find. Of those 8, 4 will be raffle tickets for premade designs. 

Meaning this time around, premade designs will not be FCFS. These designs will be revealed on 4/10.

Hello everybody, happy pride month! To celebrate we have put together a small mini event for you all.

This event starts today, 6/7, and ends on 6/30.

This newsletter goes over everything you need to know.

An Important Reminder:

We do not tolerate any form of cheating in our events. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Multiaccounting, including getting friends to sign up just to send you items
• Exploits that are discovered that are not promptly reported, and are instead used to get a large quantity of items
  • You are also disallowed from telling other people about exploits that you find, other than staff when you report it
  • If you find an exploit by mistake, you will not be punished so long as you let us know immediately
• Hacking the website, or other people's accounts

If you cheat in these ways, then we will find out. We do not tolerate it whatsoever, as it gives users an advantage over others. This includes getting a mass amounts of MYOs to use to make characters, as well as trading illegitimate items for art and characters.

If we catch you cheating, then you will be given a full-site ban, the length of which varying depending on the severity of the offense.

We did not want to take this step, but the amount of this we have had in the past made it so we had to go through with this.

Dialogue Event:

The dialogue event can be read here, and it has branching paths! You can go through it multiple times to get two different stories! There is a prize code at the end for the event crafting recipes.

The dialogue event was written by GalacticRing!

Foraging:

There is one new location to forage at during this event!

Like before, foraging will drop crafting materials!

Crafting works the same as previous events. You will need to read the dialogue event to unlock the recipes.

Exploring (Encounters):

We also have one new encounter location available for this event!

With exploring, you will have a variety of encounters from the perspective of the NPCs during the dialogue event, with the chance to gain items!

Art Prompts:

We have two art prompts for this event, able to be completed at any time until the event ends! Non-story event prompt rewards will be rolled on characters, so any rewards will go to them instead of your inventory! From there you can transfer the items out of your character's inventory into yours.

For your character to get rewards you must select them as the "focus character"! You can also only submit prompts that include your own characters. If you were to do an event prompt that includes two of your own characters, and one of another member's for example, you'd be able to submit the prompt for your two characters, and the other member would need to submit to it with their character as well.

Story Prompt:

Draw or write about your TSS character joining the pride parade!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a transparent fullbody with some sort of pride theme to it!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 250 words!
• This prompt MUST be completed by the character owner, unless you do not own a SpaceStation character! In that case, you are permitted to use an NPC!
• This prompt can only be completed once!
• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

Event Prompt:

Draw or write about your TSS character and a loved one interacting!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least one fullbody and one halfbody with a simple scene background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 500 words!
• A maximum of 3 characters can be in one scene, this may be changed in the future.
• This prompt can be completed by someone else for you, so long as it depicts your character! Rewards will be given to the person whose character was drawn or written about!
• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)
• The person who completed the piece will be the one to upload to the gallery, not the one who owns the character!

Pets and User Borders:

We have also added five new pets! Four of them drop from the event encounters, and the fifth is an additional seasonal pet. Most of them come with several variants each that can be changed using a Magic Wand. Magic Wands can only be found via foraging/encounters/prompts!

We have also added pride-themed borders in three styles! One style is available to all users and can be selected from the settings page. The other two styles are animated and can be unlocked through the use of choice boxes obtained through encounters, foraging, and crafting. All styles come in a wide variety of flag variations to represent as many different identities as possible!

If you do not see your identity on the list and would like it added please comment below! If we get a decent amount of requests for a flag we'll add it :]

Selfbreed Slots:

For the duration of the event, selfbreed MYOs are half price! Additionally, the poly selfbreed MYOs are temporarily on sale again for 750 Cloudcoins in the Starstop and Seabreeze Shops.

Prices will return to normal and poly selfbreeds will be removed from shops again at the end of the event.

Mystery Design Raffle:

We also have a mystery design to raffle off at the end of the event! You can get a ticket through completing the story prompt. The design will be revealed after the winner is rolled!

Cultivation:

Cultivation has been added to the site! This allows users to cultivate plants and earn Cloudcoins from doing so!
To get started with this feature head over to the Sea Breeze Shop to pick up a Photo of Soda Planet Farm, used to unlock the cultivation area. You may also purchase 1 Standard Hoe and Starfruit seeds from the same shop! 

Standard Hoes can also be crafted with 2 sticks!

More seeds/tools/areas will be added to the site at a later date!

Pet Bonding:

You can now bond with your pets! In order to do so the pet must be attached to a character, and from there you can bond with it once a day from your pet's page! Getting to the next bonding level with a pet will grant you rewards!

Character Transformations:

We have added the Character Transformations extension to the site! From this point foward Multiform and Shapeshifting will require characters to use transformation tabs. Color Changing may optionally also use transformation tabs.

Existing masterlist entries using these traits will remain as they are unless their images are updated. This is largely a cosmetic/organisational update; nothing else about these traits are changing.

You can view how this works/looks via this character!

To submit a new MYO or redesign with Multiform/Shapeshifting:

• The character still requires the Multiform/Shapeshifting trait!
• Submit only the main form as the masterlist image.
• In the comments section add a link to the other form images. 
  • This image must be uploaded to an image hosting website like Imgur, sta.sh, or Imgbb. Discord links will be rejected.
• After approval, a staff member will upload these images to your characters profile, and set them as new transformations.

This will be added to the site guide in the next few days.

You can now add people as friends & block them! You can view your friends list/requests on the navbar, under your username!

General Reminders

1. Please make sure that any myos submitted have all required traits! 
2. Please make sure (and double check if needed) that the image size of the MYO/redesign approval is 2000x2000 pixels or smaller, or the site will not accept it!

5. Please only bump your adopts every other day! 
6. Please remember to change the rarity of the myo after it is accepted on the masterlist!

STAFF NEWSLETTER:

Clay Fox Event:

Currently, the plan for this is to get this event running by September 15th. This will run a lot like Over the Clouds did. It will be a multi-part event, with prompts/encounters/foraging locations. Tomorrow (8/18) I will put out a doc with everything we need art for, along with general notes. The script will not be apart of this doc due to me needing some extra time. I will put out a seperate announcement regarding it in the coming days.

Character transformations:

We've added Character Transformations to the site. From now on users must submit multiple images for Multiform and Shapeshifting. They may also optionally do the same for Color Changing.

To approve/upload characters with transformations:

• For approvals: Make sure the user has linked the other form images in the comment section. Ensure it is not a discord link.
• Upload the transformation images to the character. 
  • To do this:
    • On the characters profile, click images on the sidebar
    • Click add image
    • Upload the image, and set it as a transformation
    • The traits should be autofilled. You dont have to worry about them.
    • Click create image
    • Sort the images so the main form is in the front, click save over
    • Done

Kofi supporters:

Keeping this in as a reminder. This will likely happen in the next few months, and any money from this will go towards keeping the site up and running, along with adding new features to the site/general maintenance. 

Rewards will be the following:

1. (Non-blacked out) Previews of any mystery adopts/gachas we do. Likely cropped.

An Important Reminder:

We do not tolerate any form of cheating in our events. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Multiaccounting, including getting friends to sign up just to send you items
• Exploits that are discovered that are not promptly reported, and are instead used to get a large quantity of items
  • You are also disallowed from telling other people about exploits that you find, other than staff when you report it
  • If you find an exploit by mistake, you will not be punished so long as you let us know immediately
• Hacking the website, or other people's accounts
• If you cheat in these ways, then we will find out. We do not tolerate it whatsoever, as it gives users an advantage over others. This includes getting a mass amounts of MYOs to use to make characters, as well as trading illegitimate items for art and characters.

Dialogue Event:

The dialogue event can be read here! This is the prologue to the larger story, and more parts will be posted as the event progresses! There is also a prize code at the end!

Future Content:

As this is the prologue, there is nothing aside from the dialogue this time around! Things like new foraging locations, as well as prompts, will be dropping every two weeks!

A new part will be released every two weeks until the event’s conclusion. The next part will be released on September 29th.

The clayfox event has now officially started. Currently however, im sick as a dog so the draft script is not complete. Parts 1-4 are mostly drafted, its just a bit incoherrent. Hopefully by next week im no longer sick and can fix it up enough to present to you guys. Sorry about this................................

Halloween Event:

This year we will not be doing anything too big for halloween since the clayfox event will still be running during it.

Currently the plan is as follows:

Lineages:

Starting next month we will have a turn in prompt for people to submit their selfbred characters (along with any breedings done by prior mods if they were deleted) to so we can get lineages updated.

So, starting now we will have to go back through and update any characters that have known parents. You may also update your own selfbred characters if you want!

Tutorial:

• On the child's profile, click either the lineage tab (by the description) or the lineage button on the sidebar
• Click the edit button, and add the characters known parents to the drop downs. Do not fill out the parent name section. 
• Leave parents 3 and 4 blank if the child is not from a self breeding
• Click edit, and youre done.

Kofi supporters:

Keeping this in as a reminder. This will likely happen in the next few months, and any money from this will go towards keeping the site up and running, along with adding new features to the site/general maintenance. 

Rewards will be the following:

1. (Non-blacked out) Previews of any mystery adopts/gachas we do. Likely cropped.

Clay Fox Event:

Part 1:

The following is the finalized script for part 1 of the clayfox event:

Narration: Eventually, the ship land on Awan, and the three adults file out of it.
Tempest: … It’s strange, to be back.
Moonbeam: We won’t stay long, especially if it makes you uncomfortable.
Tempest: I’ll be fine. Let’s just get this over with.
Narration: The three of them walk on to search the area. After they are gone, Fizz pokes his head out before hopping out of the ship.
Fizz: This is where the Cirros came from? It’s so cold!
Narration: He shakes some snow from his fur before hopping through the snowy terrain. He spots some trees in the distance.
Fizz: Oh, is that a forest? Maybe I can find some bear peppers!
Narration: Excited, Fizz scurries off without another thought.
Narration: Eventually…
Moonbeam: There really was nothing, huh?
Narration: The three adults return to the ship, empty-pawed.
Tempest: I don’t know what could have caused that… There should be nothing left here.
Goldie: Maybe a squee triggered an old electronic?
Tempest: That’s all I can think of… Let’s get back to Port Borealis, though.
Narration: With that said, the three climb back in, and take off into the night.
Narration: … Though without something very important.
Fizz: Wait!!
Narration: Fizz runs through the snow, watching helplessly as the ship becomes nothing but a speck in the sky in a heartbeat.
Fizz: Don’t leave me behind! I promise I won’t sneak off again!
Narration: Unfortunately, nobody knew Fizz had boarded the ship in the first place, so his pleas go unheard.
Narration: He spends a few moments, dejected in the snow while trying to catch his breath. He is alone.
Narration: He spends the rest of the night staring in the sky, hoping that the others would return, not even noticing when he slowly slumps over and falls asleep.
Narration: It is because of that, that when he opens his eyes, he is baffled to find himself in a completely different place.
Fizz: … Is this a city? Where am I?
Narration: In awe of his surroundings, he slowly pads through the abandoned streets, gaping mouthed at everything around him. As there is no snow, it makes it at least bearable to exist down there.
Narration: Unfortunately, though, none of the electronics he finds seems to work.
Fizz: Drat!
Narration: Frustrated after the fifth attempt, Fizz shoves a radio off a table, and it clatters loudly to the ground.
Narration: He jumps in surprise at how loud it was, but he hears something else.
Fizz: … Hello? Is someone out there?
Fizz: … Nobody, huh? That’s strange…
Fizz: I know this planet’s abandoned, but… I feel like someone’s watching me. And those sounded mighty like pawsteps to me.
Narration: After a bit of sulking, Fizz gets up and pads back out of the building, and he finds something unusual.
Narration: An old campfire, long burnt out, with only some charcoal remaining.
Fizz: Is this… where my moms met Tempest?
Narration: Again, he hears pawsteps somewhere, and he tenses.
Fizz: This isn’t funny! Come out!
Narration: Though his shouts echo on the cave walls, they go unanswered. He shivers again.
Fizz: My mamas are going to really get you if you don’t help me off this planet! I swear it!
Narration: He spends a short while shouting in this manner before he starts looking himself, turning over small rocks. At some point…
Narration: He finds a large hole! Certainly, something must be down there?
Fizz: Hello?
Narration: His voice echoes off the walls of the hole, and he strains to listen.
Narration: However, there is no response.
Narration: He grumbles, and keeps walking, but is so caught up in his thoughts that he doesn’t spot the change in footing just ahead.
Fizz: Stupid walls with stupid holes and stupid rocks, and - AAH!!
Narration: Fizz trips, and tumbles down the small cliff, landing heavily in a snowdrift!
Narration: Though he struggles, he only feels himself sinking deeper in.
Fizz: Help! Help me!
Narration: Once more, his shouting is unanswered, and he continues to try digging. Eventually, snow covers his vision, and he feels his body going numb.
Narration: Before he sinks into darkness, however, he swears he can feel some of the snow shift, and rhythmic paw strokes above him.
Narration: Could it be… someone to help…?

Boss fight for this one is “Dig fizz out of the snow”

Draft Scripts for parts 2-4:

The following are the drafts/outlines for parts 2-4 of the clayfox event:
Note that these arent particularly well written, mostly serving as an idea for benny to follow when writing the script.

Part 2:

• • Fizz wakes up and his soda is frozen
    • new trait yay! not available to the community yet however. obtainable via adoption center currency like species shifting will be.
  • He freaks the fuck out entirely
  • Calms down and then realizes hes in some fucking cave lit up by glowing moss and mushrooms
  • freaks out again
  • finds the way out of the cave. gets lost in the tunnel. freaks out again
  • eventually he’s just grabbed by something way larger than him. freaks out again
  • dropped back in the cave where he comes face to face with brick. freaks out again.
  • sweetie and truffles come out from behind brick and try to calm fizz down. fizz freaks out again.
  • throughout everything in this part fizz should not be able to get a good look at the clayfoxes. simply thinking of them as cirro-like creatures
  • Eventually they give up for the day and just leave fizz to calm down himself, but not before dropping off some food and water for him. brick covers the entrance with a rock.

• No boss fight for this part? unless legit anyone else can think of something help me god

Part 3:

• • After a few days of bringing food and water to fizz, fizz finally calms down enough to have a genuine conversation with the clayfoxes.
  • fizz first asks if they’re cirros, then asks why they’ve trapped him in this cave
  • the three clayfoxes insist on keeping fizz hidden, he keeps asking them about it until they finally cave and explain that if he’s found he’ll likely be killed
  • They explain that the first clayfox, yggdrasil, was experimented on by cirros. Eventually he lead all the clayfoxes underground, and has kept them hidden ever since.
  • Since then clayfoxes have been pretty anti-outsider. trapping and killing any cirro that may find them, in an attempt to keep the species safe.
  • In recent years some of the younger clayfoxes have been against this. Although sweetie and truffles feel like they can't trust the others to keep fizz a secret, and while he may not be a cirro they worry for how yggdrasil will react.
  • Fizz is insistent and really wants to talk to yggdrasil. They all try to convince him that it's a terrible idea and eventually he relents.
  • Fizz settles down for the night after this, however shortly after he falls asleep the cave they’re keeping him in is attacked by some creatures. The part ends here.

• Boss fight for this one is “Defend the cave”

Part 4:

• • They successfully defend the cave
  • After they all sleep for the night, and fizz wakes up again he asks them about the distress signal
  • They, however, know nothing about it. but promise to help fizz find it.
  • sweetie, truffles, and brick continue to hide fizz the best they can, while trying to find the device used to send out the distress signal.
  • This part should just be a lot of searching. with them finding nothing
  • Eventually they get seen by a young adult clayfox. 
  • Luckily they don’t report it to ygg, instead visiting with fizz for a while.
  • This leads to them bringing some of their friends to the cave where fizz is hidden.
  • which leads to their friend’s friends visiting. 
  • etc. etc.
  • eventually leading to someone untrustworthy being let in to see fizz, who tells ygg.
  • unfortunately fizz and co do not get a heads up to this, leading them to get ambushed.
  • a fight breaks out near the front of the cave, and brick picks fizz up by the scruff, and motions for some clayfoxes to follow it.
  • they quickly make their way out of a small side tunnel that brick had blocked and fizz had never noticed.
  • they make it out onto the surface of the planet, in the middle of an icy field with next to no cover.
  • the group starts trekking towards a forest in the far distance, trying to get out of the open
  • when they’re around halfway through the field they hear loud screaming in the distance, getting closer and closer.
  • a flock of squees descend upon the group, one swoops down and snatches one of the smaller clayfoxes before anyone can react.
  • from there the group scatters. its chaos.
  • the squeemother makes its appearance, and the other smaller squees flee.
    • the squeemother is an abnormally large, and fucked up looking squee
    • potentially temporary name
  • the other clayfoxes have long since scattered. leaving only brick, truffles, sweetie, and fizz to face it

• the part ends here boss fight for this one is “Defeat the Squeemother”

Event Shop:

Our event shop is now open! For now it just has a permentant stock of few healing items, mushroom spores, bell pepper seeds, and the FTO box.

However we have added a new feature to the site: Rotating Stock. This shop will also have an assortment of previous event items for sale, and every day this will refresh for a new handful of items!

BOSS FIGHTS:

A new mechanic being introduced for this event is boss fights!

Boss fights are goals that the community must work towards together. The 'boss', whether it be an enemy or a task to be completed, will have a site-wide health bar that can be depleted (or filled) by completing prompts! The next part will be released regardless of if the boss fight is completed, but if the boss is defeated before then, everybody who participated will be able to claim a reward!

Part 1's boss is Dig Fizz out of the snow!

To participate in the boss fight you must do the Snow Day prompt! The requirements and information on that prompt are listed in the section below this, doing so will reward you with some items + 1 point of damage to the boss. You can view everyones progress here! If this boss is deafeated before the next part, every participant will recieve the following: Strange seed x1, Random Item Box x1, Geode x3.

Prompts:

As with past events, there will be two categories of prompts for Disquiet!

Story prompts must be completed in order, and can only be completed once per person. They must also be completed by you. While you can include other users' characters (with permission), the focal character(s) must be your own and other users cannot submit your drawing to the prompt.

Event prompts are repeatable, and can be completed as many times as you want during the event's duration, in order to obtain resources and other items. Other people can fulfill event prompts for you, as long as they feature your characters! Be sure to read the prompt rules thoroughly.

Event prompt submissions will also make contribute to the progress of ongoing boss fights for the relevant part!

Story Prompt:

Show your SpaceStation character(s) looking for the distress signal!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a shaded fullbody with a simple scene background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 750 words!
• This prompt MUST be completed by the character owner
• This prompt can only be completed once!

HAlLOWEEN:

We have decided not to host a full Halloween event this year, due to the ongoing lore event that will be running throughout the entirety of October. However, we do have a few things planned for you all!

Halloween Advent Calendar:

This will be hosted in the week running up to Halloween. Prizes will include items and new pets, with an prize for collecting all of the days!

HALLOWEEN GACHAS:

We will be hosting two gachas on October 31st! The information for both of these can be found below:

Cloud Coin Gacha:

We will be hosting a Cloud Coin gacha! Rolls will cost 2,500 CC each, and will distribute a unique Halloween or autumn themed variant of an on-site pet. These variants will not be obtainable through any other means, and thus are completely unique individuals.

USD Gacha:

Alongside the Cloud Coin Gacha, we will be hosting a USD gacha for Halloween and autumn themed designs! As with other gachas, rolls will cost $20 each.

SPACETOBER:

Inspired by an idea pitched by aPhantom in our Discord server, we have decided to host an October daily prompts list!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a rough colored sketch fullbody with a props background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 300 words!
• Prompts are intentionally vague! Interpret them however you wish.
• Pieces must be submitted to the Spacetober gallery on-site and to the Spacetober prompt with criteria attached to recieve full rewards!
• You have three days to complete each piece - for example, the Day 1 prompt will be available to be fulfilled until October 3rd, and so on!
• You do not need to complete each day to redeem pieces for rewards. You can do as many or as few as you like! Don't stress about it.
• While you are free to make your own prompt lists, or follow another user's, only the official prompt list shown on this newsletter will be eligible for Spacetober rewards. Pieces for alternative prompt lists can still be submitted for regular art redemption as normal.

Lineages:

As some of you may have noticed, we are now beginning to add lineages to characters resulting from breeding batches and self breeds! This is being tracked for logistical reasons, to prevent any related characters from accidentally being paired with one another, and is not reflective of any actual lore that may be attached to characters. While we have already gone through many characters whose lineages we are aware of, we're missing many self breeds and old moderator batches.

To help with the process, we have created a turn-in prompt here. If you own any characters from self-breeds or breeding batches without lineages already added, please send in a submission to help us out! Please do not submit characters whose relation only exists in personal lore. While those characters cannot be paired with one another either, we are not officially tracking them as lore is subject to change when characters change hands.

An Important Reminder:

New trait:

With this part, we are releasing a new trait - Frozen Soda, for Sodacats, as modelled by Fizz!

This trait is part of a new rarity tier, Fabled. Fabled traits cannot currently be obtained on MYOs. This will change in the future, however - hold tight!

boss fights:

Part 1's boss was defeated with a final score of 22 points! This is more than double the requirement!

As a reward, everybody who participated by submitting a Snow Day prompt will be awarded x1 Strange Seed, x1 Random Item Box, and x3 Geodes!

Snow Day prompts can be submitted until October 20th, after which they will no longer be able to be completed. Late submissions will not recieve the reward listed above, but will still get the base prompt rewards.

There is no boss fight for part 2, but we can assure you that this mechanic will be returning in the future!

STAFF NEWSLETTER:

Clay Fox Event:

From now own all art for this event will be due 2 days before the part goes live. You may have an extra day extension if asked for, but you need to have some sort of progress. This is so we can get through event setup without worrying about missing art. This means part 3 art will be due October 25th.

PLEASE. DOUBLE CHECK WHEN YOU UPLOAD CUSTOMS AND STARLIT POOLS AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOT ADDED CLAYFOX TRAITS TO THEM.

Parts 3 & 4 Outlines:

The following are the drafts/outlines for parts 2-4 of the clayfox event:
Note that these arent particularly well written, mostly serving as an idea for benny to follow when writing the script.

Part 3:

• • After a few days of bringing food and water to fizz, fizz finally calms down enough to have a genuine conversation with the clayfoxes.
  • fizz first asks if they’re cirros, then asks why they’ve trapped him in this cave
  • the three clayfoxes insist on keeping fizz hidden, he keeps asking them about it until they finally cave and explain that if he’s found he’ll likely be killed
  • They explain that the first clayfox, yggdrasil, was experimented on by cirros. Eventually he lead all the clayfoxes underground, and has kept them hidden ever since.
  • Since then clayfoxes have been pretty anti-outsider. trapping and killing any cirro that may find them, in an attempt to keep the species safe.
  • In recent years some of the younger clayfoxes have been against this. Although sweetie and truffles feel like they can't trust the others to keep fizz a secret, and while he may not be a cirro they worry for how yggdrasil will react.
  • Fizz is insistent and really wants to talk to yggdrasil. They all try to convince him that it's a terrible idea and eventually he relents.
  • Fizz settles down for the night after this, however shortly after he falls asleep the cave they’re keeping him in is attacked by some creatures. The part ends here.

• Boss fight for this one is “Defend the cave”

Part 4:

• • They successfully defend the cave
  • After they all sleep for the night, and fizz wakes up again he asks them about the distress signal
  • They, however, know nothing about it. but promise to help fizz find it.
  • sweetie, truffles, and brick continue to hide fizz the best they can, while trying to find the device used to send out the distress signal.
  • This part should just be a lot of searching. with them finding nothing
  • Eventually they get seen by a young adult clayfox. 
  • Luckily they don’t report it to ygg, instead visiting with fizz for a while.
  • This leads to them bringing some of their friends to the cave where fizz is hidden.
  • which leads to their friend’s friends visiting. 
  • etc. etc.
  • eventually leading to someone untrustworthy being let in to see fizz, who tells ygg.
  • unfortunately fizz and co do not get a heads up to this, leading them to get ambushed.
  • a fight breaks out near the front of the cave, and brick picks fizz up by the scruff, and motions for some clayfoxes to follow it.
  • they quickly make their way out of a small side tunnel that brick had blocked and fizz had never noticed.
  • they make it out onto the surface of the planet, in the middle of an icy field with next to no cover.
  • the group starts trekking towards a forest in the far distance, trying to get out of the open
  • when they’re around halfway through the field they hear loud screaming in the distance, getting closer and closer.
  • a flock of squees descend upon the group, one swoops down and snatches one of the smaller clayfoxes before anyone can react.
  • from there the group scatters. its chaos.
  • the squeemother makes its appearance, and the other smaller squees flee.
    • the squeemother is an abnormally large, and fucked up looking squee
    • potentially temporary name
  • the other clayfoxes have long since scattered. leaving only brick, truffles, sweetie, and fizz to face it

• the part ends here boss fight for this one is “Defeat the Squeemother”

Halloween Event [reminder]:

All gacha designs will be due 10/30. The gacha will be hosted on 10/31. New Pet designs will be required to be completed on 10/24.

Winter Advent Calender:

Like last year we will be hosting a winter advent! This will include 25 designs (sold for usd) and 6 items!

Sign ups for this can be found here. Select which themes youre interested in, and in a week (10/21) i will assign everyone their days! Make sure to check over the winter advent calander here to make sure youre up for designing the species each theme is assigned to!

After this i will go through the days left over, and if you've checked the "I am interested in doing a 2nd design" box i'll throw you into a list randomizer! I will be opening guest artist slots for the leftover themes in November.

This advent calander will go live on the 15th of November, to give us time to sell all the slots.

To participate in the boss fight you must do the Unexpected Fright prompt! The requirements and information on that prompt are listed in the section below this, doing so will reward you with some items + 1 point of damage to the boss. You can view everyones progress here! If this boss is deafeated before the next part, every participant will recieve the following: Cloudcoins x100, Random Item Box x1, Carnivorous Plant Seed x1.

Boss fights are goals that the community must work towards together. We are introducing a dedicated Gardening Shop as of this part! It will be permanently available, and stock a rotating supply of tools and seeds. The items to unlock each gardening area will also be available here going forward.

To unlock the Under Awan area, you will need to obtain and open the Photo of Under Awan item, which can be obtained for free in the Gardening Shop. Plots can then be prepared using the new Plough tool.

NEW SPECIES:

And now for the biggest announcement: introducing Clayfoxes!

Clayfoxes are a species of small, tunnelling foxes adapted for digging! They also have a warrior subtype that are much larger and more imposing.
Their traits can be found here!

Clayfoxes use their own unique items. Their MYO slots are called Vessels, their add-ons are Diamonds, and their vouchers are Ambers! They also have their own specific redesign items.

The randomized MYO, Shattered Vessel, and the selfbreed MYO, Underglazed Vessel, are currently unable to be used. This will be updated soon, and the items are still able to be obtained.

Unlike the other species on The Space Station, Clayfox items cannot be purchased in shops. Instead, to obtain them, you must craft them! The recipes will be automatically unlocked for all users. All crafting recipes require the equivalant item from another species, as well as crafting materials and crops. As such, they are more scarce than other species.

Make sure to check which items from your inventory are being used before you hit 'craft'! With recipes that call for any item out of a small pool, you may use the inventory dropdown to deselect and reselect items as desired. If you do not do this, the recipe may use up something you wanted to keep!

We will not be refunding items used in crafting unintentionally. Be sure to pay attention.

MISC:

Image Blocking:

We have installed an extension that allows you to block images on-site! To use it, go to your settings and enable it. This will add a button that allows you to block an image, which will blur it across the site for you. You can then safely disable the extension without re-enabling the images. We hope that this is a helpful accessibility tool for items and graphics that you may not wish to see, for one reason or another.

Halloween Gacha:

A raffle-to-pay form for slots on our Halloween gachas will be posted in our Discord server on October 29th, 2PM EST. Raffle to pay slots will then be rolled on the 30th at 2PM.

Slots for both the USD gacha and the CC Pet gacha will open at 2PM EST. Once everybody has paid, rolling will be done in our Discord server!

As a reminder, USD slots will be $30 each, and CC slots will be 2,500 Cloud Coins each.

We are preparing a batch of mystery adopts this month. These will all be song-themed Clayfoxes, to celebrate the introduction of the species!

These will be going up on the 7th, and slots will be $25 each. These will be raffle to pay, and rolled on 11/8!

Winter Advent:

Aside from the mystery adopts, claims for our annual winter advent calendar will go live on November 15th! There will be both raffle-to-pay slots and first-come, first-served slots. There will be 25 days to claim, and they will be $20 each.

The raffle to pay form will open on 11/13 at 2pm EST, and close and be rolled on 11/14 2pm EST. 
The FCFS slots will open 11/15 at 2pm EST.

As usual, these will be themed mystery designs that will be revealed and distributed throughout December.

STAFF NEWSLETTER:

Clay Fox Event:

We will be having an intermission part before part 4 drops. This is to give everyone a bit of a break since everything has been so busy.

Meaning, there will be no new prompts, crafting recipies, or anything. We will have an extra two weeks to finish up any art, or writing needed for the next part. We will have another intermission between parts 4 and 5.

As a reminder, from now on all art for this event will be due 2 days before the part goes live. You may have an extra day extension if asked for, but you need to have some sort of progress. This is so we can get through event setup without worrying about missing art. This means part 4 art will be due November 22nd.

Winter OOAK PET GACHA:

We will be hosting another Pet Gacha on 12/15. These will be the same price as the Halloween ones (2,500 cc) and everyone may make up to 3 pets!
Ontop of that we will be opening GA applications for this gacha!

Adjustments to encounters:

To start we'll be switching encounters from user based, to character based. This means users will have to own a character to do encounters from 11/10 onwards. There is multiple reasons for this. Characters may only be swapped 3 times a day. And we will be lowering the base encounter energy from 5, to 3 (meaning (without the use of food) users with 3 or more characters will have a total of 9 energy, rather than 5 a day.).

• We will be adding character jobs sometime after the new year. This will allow us to restrict encounters to characters with specific jobs, via an item in their inventory.
• We can make failing encounters applies status effects to characters.
• Most cheating in events is done via encounters. By requiring characters new accounts will be unable to do encounters, this will (hopefully) discourage people a bit more from cheating. Tell me your favorite cat breed underneth this bulletin. With how easy it is to obtain MYOs I dont forsee this being much of an issue for genuine new people.

However, from now on for non-lore based encounter regions will have to be written in the perspective of the users characters rather than the npcs. 

Advent calander:

We have decided to extend the advent encounter from 25 days, to the full 31. Meaning we will need a total of 8 GAs to fill those slots. If we cannot find enough GAs we want we will reopen 2nd claim slots for those who didn't recieve one. Please view the thread in ideas to help us choose!

Vocaloid song based adopt batch:

Rules/Info:

• Any species is fine
• Only one myth per design (not including subtypes). You may use one fable per design as well.
  • If youre using multiform you may use color changing as well w/o worrying.
• These will be vocaloid song based.
• These will be auctions, everyone may set their own prices. Please include your SB and MI when submitting your adopts.
  • ABs will be added 24 hours after the sale goes live, if you choose to include one.
  • These will end 24 hours after the latest bid, this timer will start once ABs are released
• Everyone may do 1 adopt
• These are due December 1st and will go live on the 2nd.

Winter advent calander Guest Artists:

First our winter advent has been extended from 25 days to the full 31! With that we've chosen 8 GAs to help us, Bloodborne, Chooliw, ColdRising, dadada_darling, hellpriest, kingscreek, Lunaray10, and meow ! If you didn't get chosen this round we plan on having more GA opportunities soon! We'd like to host some GA only adopt batches in the future :]

As a reminder claims for our annual winter advent calendar will go live on November 15th! There will be both raffle-to-pay slots and first-come, first-served slots. There will be 31 days to claim, and they will be $20 each.

The raffle to pay form will open on 11/13 at 2pm EST, and close and be rolled on 11/14 2pm EST.
The FCFS slots will open 11/15 at 2pm EST.

As usual, these will be themed mystery designs that will be revealed and distributed throughout December.

boss fights:

Part 3's boss was defeated with a final score of 25 points, far surpassing the required 15!

As a reward, everybody who participated by submitting an Unexpected Fright prompt will recieve 100 Cloudcoins, 1 Carnivorous Plant Seed, and 1 Random Item Box!

Part 4's boss is THE SQUEEMOTHER!

To participate in the boss fight you must do the Intimidation prompt! The requirements and information on that prompt are listed in the section below this, doing so will reward you with some items + 1 point of damage to the boss. You can view everyones progress here! If this boss is deafeated before the next part, every participant will recieve the following: 100 Cloudcoins, Random Item Box x1, and an exclusive pet!

As a reminder:

Boss fights are goals that the community must work towards together. The 'boss', whether it be an enemy or a task to be completed, will have a site-wide health bar that can be depleted (or filled) by completing prompts! The next part will be released regardless of if the boss fight is completed, but if the boss is defeated before then, everybody who participated will be able to claim a reward!

Prompts:

Here are the new prompts for part 4! As a reminder:

Story prompts must be completed in order, and can only be completed once per person. They must also be completed by you. While you can include other users' characters (with permission), the focal character(s) must be your own and other users cannot submit your drawing to the prompt.

Event prompts are repeatable, and can be completed as many times as you want during the event's duration, in order to obtain resources and other items. Other people can fulfill event prompts for you, as long as they feature your characters! Be sure to read the prompt rules thoroughly.

Event prompt submissions will also make contribute to the progress of ongoing boss fight!

Story Prompt:

Show your Space Station character(s) facing off against the Squeemother!

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least a shaded fullbody with a simple scene background! The Squeemother must also be at least implied to be present - this can be as minimal as a shadow or falling feathers. A reference image for the Squeemother can be found here.
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 750 words!
• This prompt MUST be completed by the character owner
• This prompt can only be completed once!
• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

Rewards:

• A Feat of Bravery Patch
• 100 cc
• 20 user exp
• 20 character exp
• Squee pet

Event Prompt:

Show your Space Station character(s) encountering something larger than they are! This prompt is vauge, so interpret it as you wish.

Rules:

• If drawing for this prompt, it MUST be at least an unshaded fullbody with a simple scene background!
• If writing for this prompt, it MUST be a minimum of 500 words!
• A maximum of 3 characters can be in one scene, this may be changed in the future.
• This prompt can be completed by someone else for you, so long as it depicts your character! Rewards will be given to the person whose character was drawn or written about!
• Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery AND Event prompt! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)
• The person who completed the piece will be the one to upload to the gallery, not the one who owns the character!

As a reminder, with the recent changes you will now need to own a character in order to use encounters. Without the use of food items, each character will recieve 3 energy per day, and you can change your character up 3 times per day. Rewards from encounters are now granted to the active character's inventory - remember to check there if you're unsure of where something may have gone!

Additionally, some encounters now have the chance to inflict status conditions onto characters. Some options on some encounters also require specific items to be in your character's inventory to be chosen.

Underglazed vesselS:

Underglazed Vessels, the selfbreeding MYOs for Clayfoxes, are now functional!

These work a little differently from the other selfbreeds. Creating a slot will instead roll a pool of traits from the parents for you, similar to a random MYO. It will also generate a color palette suggestion, but you are not required to use it in your design so long as your character still resembles it's parents to a reasonable degree - it's just for fun! There is also a chance to generate twins.

To create a slot, rather than opening the item from your inventory, you need to go to the pairings page, linked under 'play' on the navbar. You will have to attach your Underglazed Vessel and set the parents, and will also have the opportunity to attach a Lucky Charm.

If you want to use a parent Clayfox owned by a user other than yourself, they will have to grant you a breeding permission. They can do this by going to the breeding permissions page accessible on the sidebar of the character's masterlist entry. All characters have 100 breeding permissions that you can grant or use - if you somehow run out, you can request more for free.

You will not be able to add or remove traits until after the kit design is already approved, but a Lucky Charm can be used whilst generating the slot to increase the odds of inheriting Mythical rarity traits.

If you happen to roll a kit with an impossible set of traits (such as a tail modifier with no base tail shape) you can submit it to the Random MYO Fixes prompt.

The way non-Clayfox selfbreedings work has not been changed in any way.
