Shit Went Sideways
Grimm was looming over both Aurora and Zelik, shielding them from any stray rubble that might have flown past their makeshift shelter while they were in the process of demolishing old buildings, but fortunately for all of them, nothing went wrong… for now anyways. It was grumbling about something, probably the prediction of something going wrong somewhere. “To think that something will go wrong soon.. what will become of it? Is it that of a possible injury? Death perhaps? One may never know til it is met with the misfortune that is to come…” Zelik just looked up at it, partly horrified but not too surprised at what it was saying. “Maybe stop grumbling about it and focus on what we’re supposed to be doing, Grimm” Aurora muttered as she stood out from where she was sitting. She looked at what was left behind from the old building that was just demolished. She scoffed as she heard Zelik mention something about there being a bit more left to do before they could leave. “And what’s that supposed to mean?” He asked her as he walked up to her, Grimm shifting pieces of rubble around in preparation for rebuilding.
“If you want we can take a break from working for a little bit, it’s not that difficult”
“Dear as much as I’d love to, I’d rather we get this done as soon as, so that Grimm doesn’t do something reckless while he remains out here”
“Ro, it’ll be fine”
“No it won’t. It never has been. I can only do so much to keep it at bay before it loses its shit”
He looked at her for a moment before he turned to look at Grimm. It was a strange individual, only making grumbling noises and screeching roars when communicating in front of other species. Zelik and Aurora were both an exception and were able to hear it speak clearly as if it was a normal individual. Their ties to Grimm were abnormal, just as abnormal as the god of death itself was, a tie that was formed between a god looking for a new vessel to shape and bend to its will. And yet here said being was, helping out with destroying old buildings in order to make way for new buildings to take their place.
Much to Aurora’s surprise, Grimm was having the time of its life, acting like a puppy playing with toys, treating remaining rubble as if that’s what it was, chewing on it the way a dog would chew on a bone. “See Ro? He’s fine” is all Zelik could say before a large chunk of a building collapsed behind them. Grimm in its small fit of playfulness, proceeded to crash into the building behind it, leading to it collapsing into itself the moment the beast moved away from it. “You were saying? Dear?” Was all she could say in response, a look of horror on her face as her ears flattened behind her head. Grimm had a habit of forgetting its own size at times if it saw something as being fun. Whether this was because it had a lot of space to itself in its own cathedral within the second realm, or if it just couldn’t tell the difference between spacing or sizing between both realms was another thing, however it would always lead to trouble in some way within this realm.
“You are too optimistic for your own good sometimes, you know that right, Zelik?”
“I’m aware”
“Grimm, lay down and wait here while we go to get a few things to fix this”
With that Grimm just lay there in the site where the demolition was taking place, waiting for the two small Spacecats to return. In the meantime, Grimm just continued to crush rubble with its large jaw, treating it as if it were bones or a chew toy. The second he spotted the two making their return with some additional equipment, he began to wag his tail like an excited puppy, as if seeing its owner for the first time in a bit of time. This.. led to him making more mess, causing half of the remaining part of the building to crumble once more. This was going to be a long few days.
Grimm wreaking havoc once more without trying, I wonder how that will end? Aurora surely isn't happy about it
