Home
Knight wandered through a mysterious looking forest, fallen leaves gently crunching beneath his paws.
He paused momentarily, raising his head a bit and just enjoying the quietness and beauty of the forest surrounding him. For some, the forest might be considered scary, spooky even, but for him? It was peaceful. It was home.
After taking his short little break, the spacecat continued onwards, keeping up with his previous pace. While the forest would seem confusing and like all the trees start to blur together and look the same to some, it didn’t to Knight. They knew exactly where they were going and how to get there.
It took a while, but eventually, Knight reached his destination. It was a little village residing deep inside of the forest. It was small; but it was cozy, comforting, and warmed the spacecat’s heart the moment he stepped foot in it.
As he made his way through the village, he made sure to take in all of his surroundings. How long had it been since he last visited? It was hard to remember. But all that mattered currently was that he was back, and finally, things felt calm to him.
The spacecat came to a halt in front of a small flower that was sprouting and growing in a little clearing, a bit further away from all the small houses and activity. It was.. a silent princess flower. Knight made his way over to it and gently crouched down beside it, observing it with a fond, yet amazed gaze. It reminded him a lot of.. her. They looked around, a bit puzzled on why it was just this lone flower here. It was odd, but it also made the flower feel more special.
He got up, not wanting to disturb or accidently ruin the flower, and continued on his way. Sometimes some villagers would come up and greet him, making small talk with him and asking how it was going, that it’s been so long since they last saw him, that they missed him, and it made his heart swell up with love and joy. As much as he did enjoy the chit chat, he had a specific little place he wanted to go to, so most conversations were kept relatively short. He’d have time to talk to them later on, but for now, he must continue on.
Finally, after what felt like ages of walking, he ended up in another clearing, but it was more quiet and secluded, on a little pathway that led from the village to here. There were no sounds of the villagers or anything, it was just the comforting, calming forest noises that surrounded him now. The clearing was nothing too special; just a small, little forest clearing, but in the middle of it, was a pedestal that seemed to have held a sword or something of the likes ages ago. Now, it was empty, overgrowth taking the pedestal over.
Knight made his way over to it, gazing upon it fondly before just collapsing besides it, finally letting himself get some proper rest. It reminded him of many things, many fond memories, and it felt peaceful. All his worries, all his fears, everything seemed to fade away upon reaching this one spot.
They closed their eyes, and finally rested up. They were home.
