Hi everyone! The 3rd part of The Invisible Game of Fate is now out!

PLEASE READ THIS NEWSLETTER IN FULL.

An Important Reminder:

We do not tolerate any form of cheating in our events. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Multiaccounting, including getting friends to sign up just to send you items
  • Exploits that are discovered that are not promptly reported, and are instead used to get a large quantity of items
    • You are also disallowed from telling other people about exploits that you find, other than staff when you report it
    • If you find an exploit by mistake, you will not be punished so long as you let us know immediately
  • Hacking the website, or other people's accounts
  • If you cheat in these ways, then we will find out. We do not tolerate it whatsoever, as it gives users an advantage over others. This includes getting a mass amounts of MYOs to use to make characters, as well as trading illegitimate items for art and characters.
If we catch you cheating, then you will be given a full-site ban, the length of which varying depending on the severity of the offense.

Port Chrysanthemum Opening:

Port Chrysanthemum is now open for business!

Port Chrysanthemum is an adoption center that allows you to purchase characters for currency! Our staff and guest artists have worked hard to create over 100 designs for the initial stock. You can surrender unwanted character, and each month you may claim up to three free MYOs in order to create new designs for the Port, both in exchange for currency.

Designs created using Port Chrysanthemum MYOs go through the approval queue like any other character, but will be immediately surrendered upon approval. All rules can be found in the description of both the item and the slot itself, so be sure to read them carefully. Beyond the three Port Chrysanthemum MYOs per month, you can also use your own items to create designs for the Port so long as you specify in the comments that that is your intention.

Each user may claim up to 4 designs from Port Chrysanthemum each month, with a cooldown of 24 hours in between. This may be adjusted in the future.

If you surrender a character that has a Toyhou.se profile, please send a transfer to TheSpaceStation on Toyhou.se and let us know. If you purchase a character with a Toyhou.se profile you can submit a claim on-site to have it transferred to you.

The Port can be accessed through the World dropdown menu, and will be permanently open.

Starbits:

Starbits have been introduced as a new currency! They are primarily used in Port Chrysanthemum, and are required to purchase designs.

Starbits can be obtained through the following methods:
  • Surrendering characters to Port Chrysanthemum
    • Common characters surrender for 150 SB
    • Uncommon characters surrender for 200 SB
    • Rare characters surrender 250 SB
    • Mythical characters surrender for 350 SB
    • Fabled characters surrender for 550 SB
      • Each Fabled trait past the first will grant and additional 50 SB
    • There is a cooldown of 2 months before you may surrender designs obtained through non-mystery raffles, and a 1 month cooldown for any other character. You must also wait at least two weeks after redesigning a character to surrender it.
  • Creating designs for Port Chrysanthemum, up to 3 per month
    • Each approved design will grant 150 SB, regardless of rarity
  • Selling unwanted Mythical items from your inventory
    • Mythical add-ons (Essences/Vouchers/Syrups/Sugars/Diamonds/Ambers) sell for 25 SB each
    • Mythical MYOs sell for 50 SB each
    • You can sell an unlimited number of these items.
  • Monthly Madness may now grant Starbits instead of Cloud Coins!
    • Details can be found in the Monthly Madness section below.

Starbit Exchange & Fabled Traits:

In addition to Port Chrysanthemum, Starbits can be used in a new shop - the Starbit Exchange!

The Starbit Exchange can be used to obtain rare items, including new items that allow you to add Fabled traits to MYOs!

Unlike other rarity tiers, each Fabled trait requires its own specific item to use. These items can be used on both new MYOs and redesigns. You can purchase both choice boxes and random boxes from the Starbit Exchange, at a limited quantity per month.

To go with this, we have introduced new Fabled traits for each species! For information, please see the trait descriptions and the visual trait guide.

Spacecats:
  • Planet Tail
  • Aurora Tail
  • Moon Cycle Eyes
  • Black Hole
  • Starless has also had its rarity upgraded
Sodacats:
  • Bottled
  • Foam Replacement
  • Bubble Tail
  • Aquatic Tail has also been added as an uncommon trait
Guppymanders:
  • Translucent Skin
  • Connected Horns
  • No Whiskers
  • Aquarium
  • Ethereal Smoke
Cirrocanius:
  • Fullbody Vortex
  • Rainbow Vortex
  • Thundercloud Tail
Clayfoxes:
  • Raptor Claws
  • All Clay
  • Mineral Deposit
  • They also have a new subtype, detailed below! It has its own unique Fabled trait, Multi Core.

Golem Subtype:

Clayfoxes have a new subtype: Golems! They are considered a Fabled trait.

A new trait category has been added for their required Core traits, usable only on this subtype.

Monthly Madness Rework:

Monthly Madness has been updated! You now have the option to obtain either Cloud Coins or Starbits from Monthly Madness submissions. Both will be granted via criteria, as with before, and you will have to add the criteria for your preferred currency choice when you make your submission.

In order to balance this, Monthly Madness submissions are now limited to up to three characters per piece. Written pieces will only be rewarded for the first 1,500 words. Gift and staff art bonuses do not apply to Starbits.

At the moment, it is only accepting non-animated 2D art and writing.

Free MYO event:

We're also hosting a free MYO event to help promote TSS to new users :)

All users can claim a free common MYO for any species of their choice (except Clayfoxes) by commenting on this Toyhou.se bulletin and then submitting to this prompt.

By sharing the bulletin (and providing a link in your comment), you can get it upgraded to an uncommon MYO! You can also get +1 rare trait for pinging a friend, up to a limit of four. By doing all of the above, you can get it upgraded to a myth MYO.

These MYO slots will be account bound, meaning you cannot trade them.

This event will last 1 month until October 19th!

Miscellaneous:

  • The site has been updated to use a queue for character transfers! This now means that character transfers have to be approved by a staff member.
  • Pet variants are now treated like their own pets, this doesnt really effect anything aside from visuals!
  • We have made temporary anatomy guides for each species! These can be found with the site guides here. They will be updated with more detailed and polished guides at a later date!
  • Foraging and Encounters should now no longer be able to drop Myth items, for balancing reasons.
  • Potfox now has a new masterlist image.
  • The NPCs/Staff Sonas page has been updated with new icons for each NPC.
  • Legendary Boxes from Harbinger pets may now be opened!
  • All of our guest artists have been granted some Starbits as a thank-you for their hard work.
  • MYO submissions have now been reopened! Thank you for your patience.

That's all for now! The epilogue for this event will release on October 3rd. Thank you for reading and if you have any questions that are not addressed in this newsletter, feel free to ask us in the help channel of our Discord server!
