Boss Fight:

To bring in the new year, we're hosting a small boss fight!

Sparkdaw Squeemother

By visiting the link above, or navigating to the Bosses page via the navbar (under Play) you can participate in the fight against the Sparkdaw Squeemother! 
Damage can be dealt to the boss using the following methods:

• Daily Logins: By visiting the boss fight page, you can damage the boss with the attack button once per day to deal 1 damage.
• Donating Currency: Donating Cloud Coins directly via the boss fight page will deal damage, with a ratio of 100CC to 1 damage.
• Donating Items: Donating items directly via the boss fight page will deal damage, with a ratio of 5 damage per item.
• Prompt Submissions: Submissions to any of the Awan Cleanup prompts will contribute damage to the boss fight, with a ratio of 100 damage per submission.

To deal damage via any method besides prompts and click on the Challenge Boss button. From there, navigate to the section for your method of choice, fill out the information, and press the Attack button. Damage from prompt submissions require no further input from you, and will be processed automatically by staff.

Damage dealt is collaborative - every user deals damage to a global pool. The boss has a total of 1000HP.

The rewards can be claimed from the Boss Fight page, and are as follows:

• For participating in the fight, you may claim a raffle ticket for the design below!
• When the boss has lost 25% of it's HP, you may claim an Uncommon MYO Choice Box!
• When the boss has lost 50% of it's HP, you may claim a Light Blue Sparkdaw Pet!
• When the boss has lost 75% of it's HP,  you may claim a Sparkdaw Squeemother Pet!
• When the boss is defeated, you may claim a Myth Add-On Box!

The boss fight will end on january 31st, 23:59:59 EST, regardless of how much damage is dealt

Secret Santa reminder:

As a reminder, all non-backup Secret Santa submissions are due on January 3rd.

You must complete your piece before then, and make sure to submit it to the on-site prompt.

If you cannot complete your piece before the deadline, tell us via the Port Borealis Discord now. 

If you do not complete your piece, and do not inform us that you are dropping out ahead of time, we will be issuing a strike.

Exceptions may be made for extremely extenuating circumstances, but you must tell us.

Secret Santa pieces may not be sent to their recipients yet. We will ping our server to announce when you may begin handing out your gifts.

Item Expiry Update:

Food expiration has caused us several unexpected issues that did not occur during testing, and we have been unable to resolve them thus far.

As such, we've decided to give up on the mechanic for the time being. We will likely revisit this in the future, but for now it is being reverted.

New staff:

Thank you to everybody who filled out a staff application! We greatly appreciate all of the interest.

After careful consideration, we have decided to welcome owonyx to the team as our new Helper!

Ko-Fi Issues:

We've been having a few issues with the Ko-fi integration recently.

If you fail to recieve your Ko-fi supporter rewards or cash shop purchases, please contact Ara (@Floatia on Discord) as soon as possible to have this corrected.

No other staff member is able to assist with this matter, so please contact him directly instead of going through the help channel. Thank you!

January MONTHLY MADNESS:

This month's theme is Ambitions! Draw or write about your TSS character(s) being ambitious! Are they trying something new? Are they striving towards a different personal goal? This prompt is vague, so interpret it as you wish!

The January monthly madness will last till January 31st!

Misc:

• We currently have a bug with user shops corrupting items that are withdrawn/purchased from them!! If you encounter this bug please let us know so we can fix your item!
• All Port Chrysanthemum MYOs from last month have been deleted, aside from those currently in the MYO queue! This does include drafts that were not in the queue, so if your submission was cancelled or you had yet to submit it, you will unfortunately need to obtain a new slot.
• Characters that have been in Port Chrysanthemum for a couple months now have been updated to have the option to be purchaseable with Cloud Coins instead of Starbits! Their Starbit prices have also been slightly discounted.
• Lucky_cat_Frank won the Starry Sky Clayfox raffle!
• We will be updating collectibles over the next week or so to have variable sale prices, depending on how easy or difficult they are to craft. 
• You can now claim 5 characters a month from Port Chrysanthemum!
