Pets
Draconic Specter (Past Events)
The spirit of a creature that went extinct millions of years ago can still occasionally be spotted haunting mountaintops and caves.
Swirlientia (Past Events)
A frog that never absorbs its tail. It's known to swallow any trinkets it finds near or in the body of water it calls home. If you pet its back, it might cough up something interesting.
Brumal Unicorn (Past Events)
These animals live on the surface of Awan. Their fur is extremely dense, protecting them from the harsh eviroments of their home planet. An old legend speaks of Brumal Unicorns granting wishes to those pure of heart.
Geode Grub (Past Events)
Their bodies are soft, despite what their appearnce may imply. Geode Grubs have adapted to look like stone and rock for both camoflague reasons and to deter predators. They will hide in crevices when they enter the pupa stage for protection.
Their bodies have formed a rock-hard exoskeleton, one many predators cannot crack. Their bodies are iradescent and sparkle under light.

Squeelet (Past Events)
The young of a squee. How can something so cute become so bloodthirsty?
Chigragra (Past Events)
These creatures live in the cold caves of Awan in big social groups. If they get separated from their swarm, they will get lethargic. Their fur is bright red to mimic the likeness of poisonous creatures so predators leave them alone. Because they're so feisty and hostile, it's hard to keep them as pets without them headbutting you.
Lab Rat (Past Events)
This is not a naturally occuring species. These rats were created by scientists in order to test risky and sometimes dangerous experiments. They have a higher pain tolerance than other rodents. Nowadays, testing on Lab Rats is illegal, so they are now kept as pets.
Boo Pup (Past Events)
Rumors have it, the ghosts that haunt this pup are its true brain! Although only a few are visible on the surface, many, many more gather in the carved pumpkin it wears atop its head and its fabric doll-like body.
Flitzie (Past Events)
A type of firefly that only has a single distinguishing feature from other species - it glows green instead of yellow.
Duglas (Past Events)
Scientists are baffled by what is under the dirt. Attempts to remove Duglas from the ground have only served to baffle them more, as it is impossibly long and stretches indefinitely.
Adorbination (Past Events)
Ugly but in a cute way. Its back is covered in a layer of quills, much like a hedgehog's. It's head is mostly hairless and it's legs and tail are scaly like a crocodile. It makes a lot of grunting noises.
Cave Mouse (Past Events)
Their glow is a result of bioluminescent fungi making up a large part of their diet. The pattern on every cave mouse's back is unique.
Skippy (Past Events)
An unusual fish who enjoys spending its time out of water. Its perpetual dumbfounded, pathetic expression is endearing to some and enraging to others.
Newpy (Past Events)
Previously thought to be extinct due to radiation, recently re-discovered in the underground cave systems on Awan. They possess incredible regenerative abilities and are surprisingly intelligent, even if they don't quite look the part.
Sentient Plant (Past Events)
This plant-like species existed under the radar for an unknowably long time, often believed to be an average venus fly trap. That is, until they started biting those who gardened them. Nowadays, it's highly advised to keep these in the wild and stay clear, as their sharp teeth and strong vines aren't a good match for most any critter.
Rock Golem (Past Events)
Rock Golems are large, but extremely timid creatures, found only in the darkest depths blending in well as regular boulders. Despite their shyness, they have an affinity for helping other creatures from afar, and without their notice. They are known to gift flowers to those who find and visit them often.
Frigid Deer (Past Events)
Frigid Deer are a relatively new subspecies of deer adapted to the freezing cold surface of Awan. While they are thriving, their Crystalline cousins are threatened by the very same environmental changes.
